Overview

MintLite AI is a personal finance dashboard app for iPhone and iPad. This privacy policy explains how MintLite AI handles your information.

Information we do not collect

MintLite AI does not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your bank credentials, passwords, or login information
• Your financial account numbers or balances
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Your device identifiers or location
• Any analytics, usage data, or crash reports

We do not require you to create an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile stored on our servers.

How your data is stored

All financial data you import into MintLite AI is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This means:

• Your data is encrypted and managed by Apple, not by us
• Only you can access your data, using your Apple ID
• Your data syncs privately across your own Apple devices
• Deleting the app or your iCloud data permanently removes all records

We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve your financial data at any time.

PDF statement processing

When you import a PDF bank statement, text is extracted on your device. For statements from banks not recognized by our built-in parsers, the extracted text may be sent to an AI service (Claude by Anthropic) via an encrypted HTTPS connection to identify account names and balances. This text is:

• Sent only when the built-in parser cannot recognize the institution
• Used solely to extract account name, type, and balance information
• Not stored, logged, or retained by our servers after processing
• Not used to train AI models

The AI processing server is operated by the app developer and acts only as a secure relay to Anthropic's API. No financial data is persisted on this server.

Third-party services

MintLite AI uses only these third-party services:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — private data storage and sync. Apple Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API — AI-assisted parsing of unrecognized bank statements. Anthropic Privacy Policy

No analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools are used.

Data retention and deletion

Since all data is stored in your iCloud account, you have complete control:

• To delete all app data: open MintLite AI → Settings → Clear all data
• To delete iCloud data: iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage
• Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data persists until you remove it manually

Children's privacy

MintLite AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this document and notify users through an app update.
